Latino Leadership Network Updates!
Learn what traits are needed by leaders
March 9, 2020 | 12-1 pm | L&I Auditorium
Have you ever wondered if you would make a good leader? Are you curious to know the key strengths and attributes of a great leader? Continuing with last month’s theme of ‘Finding Your Pathway to Leadership,’ the Latino Leadership Network (LLN) presents Leadership 101: Making of a Great Leader. This interactive learning experience, led by Human Resources Specialist Denise Miño, will draw upon the experience and knowledge of well-established leaders, while welcoming the insights and questions of new and aspiring leaders.
This workshop will reveal the mindset, values and virtues great leaders possess.
All state employees and guests are welcome. Events put on by the LLN are considered employee development activities and can be attended on work time with supervisor's approval.
This event is highly interactive and is best enjoyed in person, and will not be broadcast live on social media or recorded. If you plan to attend, please RSVP here.

Share your insights on disability inclusion
The Disability Inclusion Network (DIN), a statewide business resource group, seeks to create an environment where people with disabilities can fully participate in all aspects of the workplace.
DIN is seeking Latinos to participate in its monthly meetings or subcommittees aimed at making Washington an employer of choice for people with disabilities. The subcommittees are:
Advocacy and Education, this would be about providing trainings, doing lunch and learns, and providing educational materials on disabilities.
Communication and Outreach, to assist with newsletters, brochures, surveys, website, starting up Facebook.
Resource Development to develop policies, best practices, accessibility issues, recruitment, retention.
To get involved contact joslyn.nelson@hca.wa.gov. Joslyn can also assist if you need accommodations to attend. Find out more about DIN.
