DES starts solicitation to replace tractor shovel loaders contract
DES is starting solicitation 02924 for tractor shovel loaders to succeed statewide contract 01217, which expires Aug. 4, 2025.
This solicitation is for tractor shovel loaders, including attachments and accessories.
We are looking for purchasers and subject-matter experts to help us develop this contract. If you are interested in joining our Aug. 29 kickoff meeting, please send us an email. Attendees will learn more about the solicitation process, time commitment, and responsibilities.

DES solicits new contract for executive recruitment consulting
DES is soliciting a new statewide contract 03024 for executive recruitment consulting services.
Executive recruitment is a service that identifies and recruits qualified candidates for executive management or other highly specialized positions within organizations.
We are looking for feedback on the need for executive recruitment. Please complete this survey on your agency’s interest in executive recruitment consulting services by Aug. 1.

New statewide contracts
New statewide contract available for fire detection, suppression, and inspection services
DES has a new statewide contract 27323 for fire detection, suppression, and inspection services, effective July 1.
This contract succeeds contract 03115 for fire detection and suppression systems services, which expired Jan. 30.
This contract features three small businesses and one small, woman-owned business. Two of the businesses are OMWBE-certified.

New statewide contract available for multifunction devices and related software, services, and cloud solutions
DES has a new statewide contract 26723 for multifunction devices and related software, services, and cloud solutions.
The purpose of this statewide contract is to provide multifunction devices (MFDs), single-function printers, production and industrial print equipment and services, large/wide format equipment, scanners, and specialty printers.
This contract succeeds DES statewide contract 06619, NASPO ValuePoint Copiers and Managed Print Services, which expires July 31.
This contract features green considerations:
Adherence to Washington state Department of Ecology’s ban on expanded polystyrene.
Assisting Washington state customers in selecting and purchasing printer models that will efficiently utilize 100% recycled content white cut sheet bond paper.

Price change on document destruction contract
DES posted updated pricing for contract 00419 for document destruction services. The prices increased by 8% for LeMay Mobile Shredding and DeVries Business Services.
These services in this contract include on/off-site digital media destruction, hard drive destruction and on/off-site paper destruction and purging.

Pharmaceutical wholesale contract extended
DES extended contract 04019 for pharmaceutical wholesale in partnership with MMCAP Infuse until April 30, 2025.
MMCAP Infuse is a national cooperative purchasing organization for government facilities that provide healthcare services and is operated by the Minnesota Office of State Procurement.

Price change, regions added to snow and ice product contract
DES posted updated pricing for contract 11021 for snow and ice products. This contract provides for up to the purchase of bulk snow and ice control products (rock salt, brine salt, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, and etc.), up to 100 tons, with three-day, seven-day, or 30-day delivery.
The price changes:
GMCO: Increased on average 6%
Salt Distributors Inc: Decreased $6 for the Region 4 Southwest and Region 5 South Central for 30-day delivery for 4C and 8B corrosion chloride products
In addition, DES added regions to this contract:
Pelican: Region 2 North Central and Region 5 South Central

Contractor removed from security guard services contract
DES removed Kaeka Group, Inc., from contract 03818 for security guard services, effective July 5. The contract summary page shows the other available contractors that will continue to provide the services to purchasers.

DES is canceling the variable message boards solicitation 24023. A new competitive solicitation for variable message boards, with minimal changes, will be reposted in WEBS.
