The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) Pesticide Management Division (PMD) is looking for representatives for the newly established Pesticide Advisory Board (PAB)

To apply for a board position please fill out the application form by July 31, 2023. The form contains fields for your full name, organization, mailing address, phone number, email address, category/affiliation you wish to represent, and a section for a bio that describes your experience and qualifications for the position. While you may select more than one category/affiliation to be considered for, you are only eligible to hold one membership position. We will review applications as they come in and hope to make decisions on membership in August.

The board is composed of 13 voting members and 18/19 non-voting members. Appointed PAB members will serve for up to four-year terms.PAB meetings are tentatively planned for twice a year, additional meetings maybe requested by the director, chair of the board, or by the majority of theboard.

The PMD is excited to rebuild relationships with our stakeholders through this newly re-established Board. The original PAB was authorized from 1994 to 2010. The Board was an important group of stakeholders that PMD could rely on to communicate with and get feedback from those who work with or deal with pesticide issues. PMD strongly believes that an advisory group composed of stakeholders with varied backgrounds is extremely important for PMD to communicate with and to receive timely feedback on pesticide management program activities and ongoing events or challenges.
