About the Governor’s Subcabinet on Business Diversity:
The Governor’s Subcabinet on Business Diversity is comprised of twelve (12) agencies appointed by the Governor and representatives from the small diverse business community. It is tasked with addressing barriers to equitable participation in state contracting and in crafting a comprehensive enterprise-wide action plan to making state contracting opportunities more equitable.
What you will be doing:
As a key member of the Office of Minority & Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE), you'll take charge of our Subcabinet's dynamic initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Legislative Affairs, your role involves steering consensus regarding high level initiatives towards improving contracting equity among twelve strategic agencies and members from the small diverse business community. Your collaborative efforts with agency heads, executive leaders, and other stakeholders will be central to advancing business diversity in public contracting. You'll spearhead the execution of recommendations from the 2019 Disparity Study while refining the Subcabinet's strategic roadmap. By leading Community of Practice workgroups, you'll shape model policies and nurture a culture of enterprise-wide commitment. Crafting metrics for statewide contract equity, influencing policy directions, and guiding solution-driven teams will be vital aspects of your contribution.
