COVID-19 Vaccination Updates:

Gov. Jay Inslee announced on Monday, Jan. 18, that Washington state will begin transitioning to the next phase of COVID-19 vaccination, Phase 1B Tier 1

This means more groups of people will able to get vaccinated:

  • People 65 or older

  • People 50 and older who live in multigenerational households (a home where individuals from two or more generations reside, such as an elder and a grandchild)

  • Find detailed guidance here.

People eligible for vaccination under Phase 1a can still get vaccinated. This includes healthcare workers, emergency medical responders, and long-term care residents and staff.

Please be aware that vaccine supplies are limited and not everyone who is eligible will be able to get vaccinated right away. More vaccine will be shipped to our state in coming weeks and everyone who wants a vaccine will be able to get one. Please be patient as vaccination efforts scale up in our community.

Healthcare organizations and pharmacies throughout our community are administering COVID-19 vaccine. Kitsap Public Health District is working with the Kitsap County Emergency Operations Center to open additional community vaccination clinics in January. These clinics will supplement the options offered by our healthcare system and help ensure equitable access to vaccine. We will share more information about these clinics as details are confirmed.
