DOL’s re-opening of driver licensing offices and agency furloughs:
For services customers cannot complete online, appointments for in-person visits can now be scheduled online or through the call center (360-902-3900). These appointments will fill-up quickly so we ask for your patience and understanding as we roll this out.
All DOL employees will be furloughed on the following Fridays through July:
Thursday, July 2 (because Friday, July 3 is a state holiday)
Friday, July 10
Friday, July 17
Friday, July 24
Driver licensing offices are currently on a staggered schedule of Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday. During the July furloughs, all driver licensing offices will move to Monday-Thursday for customer appointments.
Appointments are for customers who cannot do their business online, by phone, or by mail.
If an in-person visit is the only option, customers can make an appointment online or call 360-902-3900 for assistance setting one up. If appointment slots are filled, we ask customers to try again the next day.
When an appointment is made, an email confirmation will be sent with instructions on how to check in to a “virtual lobby” upon arrival. Customers will wait in their vehicle until being invited into the building. There will be signage.
Those who show up to an office without an appointment will be scheduled for a return visit or redirected as needed. Click here for additional details: https://licensingexpress.wordpress.com/2020/06/19/cant-be-helped-online-by-phone-or-by-mail-make-an-appointment/
