Commerce is now accepting grant applications for $5 million available for activities that increase residential building capacity or streamline permitting. Applications from cities over 20,000 in population are due Sept.30. For cities with less than 20,000 in population, applications are due Oct. 15.

For communities over 20,000 population: A pre-application survey was sent to cities over 20,000 in population to be completed by July 31. Application instructions and a grant application for a grant of up to $100,000 can be downloaded here. The application due date is September 30, 2019, 5:00 p.m.
For communities under 20,000 population: Download the grant application instructions and grant application form. Applications are due October 15, 2019. Completing the pre-application survey is required.
