Dear educators and students of Spanish in the state of Washington,
The Center for Spanish Studies, an institution which is part of the Education Office of Spain in the US, has been running the contest “Escribo en Español” to academic institutions in the state of Washington for the last 21 years.
This school year, 2019-2020, the Center will be hosting its 22nd Edition and I, as the director of the Center for Spanish Studies, would like to encourage you and your students to participate in it. I think it is a great opportunity for the students to put into practice everything they are learning in the classroom, something that could not be possible without the instructor’s guidance and counseling. That is why I encourage you all to take part in this wonderful education experience.
The topic for this year is:
“My family is not only important, but everything to me”.
There is a drawing contest for Elementary students and a literary contest for Middle and High students.
There will be educational prizes for the winners in a ceremony that will take place in May. The deadline to submit all the works will be February 28, 2019.
I also want to thank all those students – and their teachers- who have participated in the past and encourage those who have not participated yet to take part in the 22nd edition.
Thank you!
As an attachment, you will find the following documents:
- Poster of the contest.
- Contest instruction.
- Covers (they are pdfs but you can fill them in. You only have to click on the grid and write).
Please, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
Looking forward to getting all your works.
