EJ Community Participation Fund Grant applications due Friday 12/2
This notice about the Washington State Department of Health (DOH)’s Environmental Justice Community Participation Fund Grant is being sent out to the Environmental Justice Council listserv on behalf of the Department of Health.
This is a reminder that applications for the grant are due at 9pm PST on Friday, December 2nd. The aim of this program is to award a $400,000 pass-through grant to a statewide community-based environmental justice organization for the creation of an Environmental Justice Community Participation Fund. This Fund will be used to allocate smaller sub-grants to other community-based organizations around Washington State to support meaningful participation and engagement with the Environmental Justice Council and state agencies around the Healthy Environment for All (HEAL) Act.

The Department of Health is considering extending the deadline of the grant until 9pm PST on Friday December 30th, 2022 to collect additional applications. If an extension would support your organization in preparing and submitting an application, please let the Department of Health know as soon as possible by emailing Leah Wood (she/her) at leah.wood@doh.wa.gov.
