Hello Community!
Na'ah Illahee Fund is excited to announce our newest funding opportunity: NIF Green Infrastructure Capacity Building Grant
This grant opportunity opens today June 21st, 2021 & closes July 23rd, 2021.
Western models of development have left some of our lands polluted and have broken down Mother Earth's systems of regeneration. Na'ah Illahee Fund places high value on sustainability projects in Indian Country that provide long-lasting results and move us towards regenerative economies.
We are looking to provide capacity building grants (seed grants) for projects that promote the healing of the land, to include:
Renewable energy
Energy sovereignty
Solid waste management
Stormwater management
Land restoration
Clean waterways
Stewardship of culturally relevant sites, habitats and ecosystems
We encourage organizations to apply who address unjust policies that have disproportionately resulted in decades of environmental degradation and negative impacts on Indigenous peoples' lands.
The grants are aimed at building the capacity of groups to develop projects and will range in size, with a maximum amount of $50,000 paid over 2 years. Please understand that more than likely, NIF will be unable to provide support for all requests.
We know many of you are leading this type of work in your communities. We encourage you to apply and share this opportunity with others. Together, we can work in relationship with Mother Earth to strengthen her living systems in acts of support, reciprocity and respect.
