Lunch & Learn to Feature Latino Historian
The Latino Leadership Network delivers nothing but the best for its members. The next Lunch & Learn will be no exception as we bring a knighted historian and poet to speak to members.
Sir Antonio Sánchez, Ph.D., will speak Nov. 1, noon to 1 p.m. Sánchez holds faculty appointments in the Departments of Anthropology and Political Science and is Director of Intergovernmental and International Relations for Central Washington University. He served as Chicano Studies Instructor at the University of Washington, Department of American Ethnic Studies from 2008-2014. He has contributed to the publication of two books this year: Alfredo Arreguin’s World of Wonders: Critical Perspectives and Poetics without Borders.
Sánchez was awarded knighthood by King Juan Carlos of Spain in 2007 for his lifelong commitment to the educational, cultural, and economic progress of the Hispanic community.
This one-of-a-kind Lunch & Learn will take place at the Labor & Industries Building in Tumwater, Room 117. The event is open to all, but please let us know if you plan to attend by registering on Eventbrite. We also will share this Lunch & Learn on Facebook Live on the day of the event.
